We are seeking a dedicated Itinerant Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to support students in the Chicago, Illinois area. This full-time position (up to 37.5 hours per week) begins immediately and continues through the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. Caseload details will be shared during the interview process. This role offers competitive compensation starting at $55 per hour and up based on experience.

Role: Itinerant Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher
Location: Chicago, IL area
Schedule: Full-time | up to 37.5 hours per week
Dates: Immediate start – remainder of the school year
Caseload: In-depth details shared during interview
Compensation: $55 per hour and up, based on experience (W2)
Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Adapt and implement curriculum to meet students’ communication and learning needs

Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and support staff

Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals

Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance documentation

Foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment
Qualifications & Requirements

Professional Educator License (PEL) with DHH endorsement

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Commitment to supporting equitable educational access for students with hearing differences
