Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist - Flint, Michigan
This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in an onsite school setting in Flint, MI. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized and group instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across grades K-12
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to implement appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Conducting assessments and maintaining detailed records of student progress and communication skills
- Facilitating communication between students, families, and school personnel to enhance educational outcomes
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Michigan Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license
- Proven professional experience working within school environments serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Completion of district fingerprinting and background checks as required
