Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher Job Opportunity
A fantastic school district located in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a full-time Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join the team. In this role, you will provide essential support and services to students, helping to foster academic achievement and personal growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student receives the appropriate care and instruction.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and accommodations to students with hearing loss

Develop IEP goals and monitor progress

Collaborate with interpreters, general educators, and support staff

Encourage student communication development

Maintain records and participate in team meetings
Qualifications:

Valid Arkansas certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education
-
Experience working with students with hearing impairments
-
Knowledge of ASL and assistive technology is a plus

Strong communication and collaboration skills
