Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional services to students K-12 who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Conduct assessments and participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and meetings
- Develop and implement tailored IEPs that support language, literacy, and academic growth
- Adapt lessons and materials to meet students’ unique communication needs
- Manage and troubleshoot assistive listening devices to enhance classroom engagement
- Collaborate closely with families, general education teachers, and other professionals to ensure equitable access to education
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification for California
- Proven ability to design and deliver specialized instruction for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Strong skills in assessment, IEP development, and use of assistive technologies
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills suitable for diverse educational environments
