Overview
Gaston County Schools is hiring a qualified DHH Teacher to serve students from preschool through high school. This role includes direct instruction, consultation, and support to help students with hearing loss access the curriculum and succeed academically and socially.
Responsibilities

Provide instruction and support for students with hearing impairments.

Collaborate on IEP development and implementation.

Monitor student progress and adjust services as needed.

Support classroom teachers and staff with accommodations and strategies.

Facilitate use of hearing assistive technology.
Requirements

Degree in Deaf Education or related field.

NC teaching license in Hearing Impaired (K–12) or eligibility.

ASL proficiency preferred.

Experience with IEPs and student-centered instruction.
