An opportunity is available for a dedicated Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist to support students across grades K-12 in a full-time, contract position for the second semester. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to facilitate effective communication strategies and accommodations.
- Provide direct instruction using specialized teaching methods suitable for K-12 learners.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches to meet evolving needs.
- Support students’ social and emotional development in addition to their academic growth.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher with appropriate state licensure.
- Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Strong knowledge of communication modalities and assistive technologies.
- Ability to design and implement effective individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with educators, families, and administrators.
