Blazer Jobs is seeking a qualified and passionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a full-time, school-based position in Harvey, LA for the 2025–2026 school year.

Typical Job Duties:

• Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team

• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate hearing impairments

• Work closely with general education teachers, families, and support staff

• Utilize assistive technology and auditory/oral or visual communication strategies based on student needs

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

• Valid Louisiana teaching credential with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing

• Knowledge of auditory/oral approaches, sign language (ASL), or total communication

• Experience working with DHH students in a school-based setting preferred

• Strong collaboration and communication skills
