Teacher of the Deaf | Houston, Texas
This position seeks an experienced Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide specialized instruction for K-12 students. This part-time contract role involves delivering focused support for two students, approximately 45 minutes per week each. Candidates may serve in a virtual or onsite capacity near Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction tailored to the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with school staff to support students’ access to the curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Communicate regularly with families and educational teams to ensure continuity of support.
- Maintain required documentation and comply with all program policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) credentials are required.
- Demonstrated experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a K-12 educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of specialized instructional methods and assistive technologies.
- Ability to work effectively both virtually and onsite.
