Location: Issaquah, WA
Position Type: Part-Time | Extended School Year Program
Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for a part-time position with a local school district in Issaquah, WA, supporting the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This is a fantastic opportunity for educators passionate about empowering students with hearing loss and making a meaningful impact in their academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs

Collaborate with families, educators, and support staff to promote effective communication and access to curriculum

Utilize various communication methods, including American Sign Language (ASL), listening and spoken language strategies, and assistive technologies

Monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly
-
Support students in daily routines and transitions during the ESY program
Requirements:

Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Early Childhood Special Education with a focus on DHH (required)

Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field

Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patience, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
