Position Overview
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated, certified Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to provide part-time virtual and in-person support to students in the Jasper, GA area for the 2025–2026 school year.
This role focuses on specialized instruction and consultative services tailored to meet the academic and communication needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The position offers a flexible schedule and a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct and consultative DHH services for one elementary and one high school student

Support language development, academic access, and communication skills as outlined in each student’s IEP

Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure consistent, inclusive support

Utilize assistive technology, visual supports, and accommodations as needed

Document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

Travel between student sites within the district for occasional in-person service delivery
Qualifications
Required:
-
Valid Georgia teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education
Preferred:
-
Experience working with both elementary and secondary students in school-based settings
-
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other DHH communication methods
Skills
-
Strong knowledge of IEP development and DHH service delivery

Familiarity with hearing assistive technologies such as FM systems, hearing aids, and cochlear implants

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Self-motivated, flexible, and highly organized
