Position Available: Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educator – Part-Time
Location: Jasper, Georgia (Remote Role with Limited On-Site Support)
Contract Duration: October 16, 2025 – January 27, 2026
Weekly Hours: Approximately 1–2 hours per month
Caseload: 3 Students (1 confirmed; 2 pending evaluation)
About the Opportunity:
ProCare Therapy is looking to partner with a certified DHH educator to support students virtually in the Jasper, GA area. This is a part-time, low-hour role ideal for a teacher who enjoys providing targeted, impactful services on a flexible schedule. While primarily remote, the position may include minimal travel to support students in person if needed.
What You'll Be Doing:

Deliver individualized instruction and/or consultation to students with hearing impairments

One confirmed student requires ongoing services; two others may begin services after evaluation

Focus on enhancing communication, language development, and academic accessibility per each IEP
-
Collaborate with classroom educators, families, and district support teams
-
Recommend and implement use of assistive devices and visual accommodations

Track student progress and adjust supports accordingly
Qualifications Needed:

Valid DHH teaching certification in the state of Georgia

Comfortable working with virtual platforms for student support
Preferred Experience:
-
Prior work with both elementary and high school students

Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) or similar visual communication methods

Experience in virtual learning or teletherapy
Key Strengths:

In-depth understanding of DHH instruction and IEP planning

Technological proficiency with assistive listening tools (e.g., FM systems, cochlear implants)

Strong communication and time management skills

Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
