Seeking a Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide specialized educational support for students from early childhood through 8th grade. This role involves delivering direct services, participating in IEP meetings, maintaining progress notes, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student development. The position offers 35 hours per week and operates in a virtual, travel-friendly format, supporting schools in Joliet, IL, and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Conduct and actively participate in IEP meetings to set and evaluate student goals.
- Document progress through detailed notes and assessments.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to implement tailored educational plans.
- Utilize virtual teaching platforms effectively to engage students remotely.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or related field.
