Job Opening: Deaf or Hard of Hearing Teacher in Lehigh County, PA
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join a supportive school district in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time, onsite position serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year.
The DHH teacher will provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborate with families, interpreters, audiologists, and general education teachers to support student growth and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in individual or group settings.

Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure compliance and student progress.

Support communication development using auditory/oral, total communication, or ASL approaches based on student needs.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies.

Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and communication with families.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications:

Active PDE Certification in Special Education – Hearing Impaired (required)

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

Experience working with DHH students in school settings preferred

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
