Remote Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing – Support Students in Lima, OH
Location: Lima, OH (Remote)
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time | K–12
We’re seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide virtual instructional and consultative services to students across Lima, Ohio. This fully remote role allows you to support language development, communication access, and educational success for DHH learners from a flexible home-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct virtual instruction and support to K–12 DHH students.

Develop and implement IEP-aligned goals centered on communication, literacy, and academic progress.

Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and families to ensure inclusive learning experiences.

Offer guidance on accessibility tools, assistive technology, captioning, and FM/DM systems.

Participate in virtual IEP meetings and maintain compliant documentation.

Consult with school staff on strategies to support DHH students in virtual and classroom environments.
Requirements:

Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field.

Active Ohio DHH teaching certification.

School-based experience preferred; telepractice experience a plus.

Strong communication skills and comfort teaching in a virtual format.

Reliable internet and a professional remote workspace.

Teaching certification may be required depending on district.
