About the Role:
The Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing will play a key role in supporting the academic, social, and communication development of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. You’ll collaborate closely with school staff, students, and families to help ensure a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction and support services to students in accordance with IEPs

Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans and communication strategies

Maintain accurate documentation and student records

Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to enhance student learning

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations regarding special education
Qualifications:

Valid New Hampshire Teaching Certification or equivalent licensure in special education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field

Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in educational settings preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
-
Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf culture preferred
