Requirements:

Valid Louisiana teaching certificate with a Deaf Education (DHH) endorsement or eligibility to obtain

Experience working with Deaf/HH students in educational settings
-
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL); other communication modes (e.g., total communication, cued speech) a plus
-
Familiarity with IEPs, FM systems, and language access strategies

Ability to meet Louisiana Department of Education and district-specific employment guidelines
Position Details:

Locations: K–12 public schools across Louisiana

Schedule: Full-time and part-time positions available

Employment: W-2 contract for the 2025–2026 academic year

Compensation: Competitive hourly wages, paid weekly via direct deposit

What You’ll Do as a Louisiana School-Based DHH Teacher:

Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to Deaf/HH students

Collaborate with general education teachers, audiologists, interpreters, and families

Monitor student progress and contribute to IEP development and implementation
