Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH)
Location: Portland, Maine
We are seeking a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2025 School Year.
Position Details:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Duration: Full-time, school year

Compensation: $40+ per hour
Qualifications:
-
Active Maine certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Previous experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across multiple grade levels and settings

Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs, utilizing communication strategies such as American Sign Language

Partner with parents, teachers, and staff to support students’ academic progress and social development
