Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our educational team for the upcoming school year. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments in a supportive, inclusive school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deaf education and a passion for helping students thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, specialists, and families

Track student progress and modify instruction as needed

Support student access to the general education curriculum

Utilize appropriate communication methods (e.g., ASL, auditory/oral, total communication)
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

Valid California teaching credential for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
(or willingness to obtain appropriate state licensure) -
Previous experience working with DHH students preferred

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
