We’re currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Specialist to support K-12 students in Santa Fe, New Mexico, through remote services. This is an incredible opportunity to make a real difference by providing the tools and support that help students with hearing impairments succeed academically and socially.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide virtual instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, using American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication strategies.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and school teams to ensure the best possible support and progress.
• Attend IEP meetings to advocate for necessary accommodations and services.
• Offer guidance and strategies to general education teachers on how to integrate Deaf and Hard of Hearing students into their classrooms.
• Keep accurate and confidential records in compliance with New Mexico’s special education guidelines.

What You Need:

• Valid New Mexico certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, with a focus on Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
• At least two years of experience in a school-based setting (teletherapy experience preferred).
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience with assistive technology for DHH students.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in a remote setting.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.
