In this role, you will support students who are deaf or hard of hearing by providing direct instruction, adapting educational materials, and collaborating with classroom teachers, audiologists, and families. You’ll also work with assistive technology and contribute to IEP development and implementation.
To qualify in Washington, candidates must hold a valid Washington State teaching certificate with an endorsement in Deaf Education or Hearing Impaired from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
