About the Role
You will work with students across a continuum of special education and general education settings, providing instruction and support that meets each student’s unique needs. The role emphasizes collaboration, strong communication, and applying research-based strategies to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver specialized instruction and aural habilitation support to students who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and specialists to implement IEP goals.

Adapt and differentiate curriculum to meet student needs.

Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and interventions.

Actively participate in team meetings and professional development.
Qualifications
-
Active Washington State teaching certificate with a special education/deaf education endorsement.

Experience teaching students who are DHH in K–12 settings preferred.

Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

Knowledge of research-based strategies and current laws/regulations regarding special education for students with hearing loss.

Must be fingerprinted through OSPI.
