Remote Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing – Support Students in Valdosta, GA
Location: Valdosta, GA (Remote)
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time | K–12
We’re seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide virtual instructional and consultative services to students in Valdosta, Georgia. This fully remote role allows you to support communication access, language development, and inclusive participation for learners across grade levels—all from a flexible home-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver virtual direct instruction and support to DHH students.

Implement and manage IEP-aligned goals focused on communication and academic growth.

Collaborate with teachers, interpreters, families, and support teams.

Provide guidance on FM systems, captioning tools, and accessibility accommodations.

Participate in virtual IEP meetings and maintain compliant documentation.

Consult with school staff to ensure an accessible classroom environment.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field.

Active Georgia DHH teaching certification.
-
Experience supporting DHH students (school-based preferred).

Strong communication skills and comfort with virtual instruction.

Reliable internet and a professional remote workspace.

Teaching certification may be required depending on district.
