Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH)
Blazer Jobs is partnering with a dedicated school district in Vallejo, CA to hire a full-time, onsite Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher for the upcoming school year. This district-wide, itinerant role will involve supporting multiple school sites across a diverse student population.

Position Details:

Location: Vallejo, CA (District-wide, multiple school sites – Itinerant)

Schedule: Typically 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (may vary by site)

Start/End Date: New School Year Opening (NSY)

Employment Type: Full-time, onsite
Caseload Responsibilities:
-
Deliver direct and consultative services to students with hearing impairments
-
Collaborate with general and special education teachers, audiologists, and families
-
Support development of auditory skills, speech, language, and academic access
-
Provide guidance on accommodations, FM systems, and classroom modifications
-
Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with California Ed Code and IDEA
Requirements:

Valid California Education Specialist Credential: Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Understanding of hearing assistive technologies and communication strategies
-
Reliable transportation to travel between multiple school sites
-
ASL proficiency is a plus, but not required
Candidates who do not meet requirements will not be considered.
