Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for a full-time position with a local school district in Westwood, MA. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to provide critical support and instruction to students with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
-
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students' communication and academic needs
-
Utilize various communication methods including ASL, spoken language, and assistive technologies
-
Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, audiologists, and families
-
Promote self-advocacy, language development, and access to curriculum
-
Ensure accessibility and accommodations in classroom and school settings
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field
-
Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) license in Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (All Levels)
-
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
-
Experience working with students with hearing loss in educational settings
-
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
