Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) – Allentown, PA
Position Overview
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join a supportive school district in Allentown, PA for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction and support services to students with hearing impairments, helping them develop communication, academic, and social skills in an inclusive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in individual and small group settings

Collaborate with general and special education teachers to support classroom learning

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet students’ communication and learning needs

Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
-
Partner with families and school staff to promote consistent support across environments
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field
-
Active Pennsylvania teaching certification in Deaf or Hard of Hearing required (or eligibility to obtain)

Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred

Strong communication and collaboration skills
