Blazer Jobs is partnering with the Alpena Montmorency to hire a qualified and dedicated Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a remote (VOCO) position that allows for flexible scheduling and meaningful work with students in need of specialized services.
Position Details:

Contract Dates: August 18, 2025 – June 10, 2026

Schedule: 10 hours per week

Flexible scheduling; contractor can choose hours in coordination with the school team

Caseload: To be discussed during the interview process

May include a range of elementary to high school students across the ESD

Requirements:

Must hold an active and valid Michigan teaching license with Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement

Experience in virtual service delivery preferred, but not required

Strong communication and collaboration skills
Position Type:
100% remote/virtual instruction and consultation
Job Responsibilities May Include:

Providing direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments

Collaborating with general and special education staff

Participating in IEP meetings and maintaining documentation

Supporting access to curriculum through accommodations and technology
Dedicated advisory and support team throughout the school year
