Location: Atlanta, GA (center city) Position Type: Contract, CSY (Extended School Year) Duration: 3/17/26 – 5/22/26 School Level: High School Caseload: One student requiring ASL II instruction Hours: To be determined based on student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored ASL II instruction designed to meet the individual needs of a Deaf/Hard of Hearing high school student.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with the student’s academic and communication goals.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with school staff and family to support the student’s success.
- Maintain all required documentation and communication in compliance with school and district guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia DOE Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
- Experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, preferably in a high school setting.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and knowledge of Deaf culture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow a flexible schedule.
