DHH Teacher | Irvine, California
This position is for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing serving K-12 students in an itinerant role located in Irvine, CA. The assignment is a contract position running from February 6th through the end of the school year, with a work schedule of 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialized instruction and support to approximately 35 students across multiple schools
- Collaborating with school staff to address the educational needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Managing a caseload in an itinerant capacity, moving between school sites as needed
- Delivering services on-site to effectively engage with students and educators
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Expertise in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing (TDHH)
- Ability to design and implement individualized education programs for students with hearing loss
- Strong classroom management and communication skills to work with diverse student populations
- Flexibility and organization necessary for itinerant service delivery
