Blazer Jobs is actively hiring a licensed Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Specialist to support a partnering school district in Annapolis, Maryland. This full-time opportunity is available to both local candidates seeking school-year placements and travel clinicians looking for flexible, high-compensation contracts.
Position Overview:
In this role, you’ll work with K–12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support their communication, language development, and social skills. You will collaborate with the special education team to provide direct services, conduct assessments, contribute to IEP development, and offer ongoing support to students with hearing impairments.

Travel Path (W-2 with Perks or 1099):

Flexible, short-term contracts (4–12 weeks or by semester)

Weekly gross: $2,000–$2,400, including tax-free stipends (if qualified)

Housing, meals/per diem, and travel reimbursements available

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct services (speech, language, and auditory training) to K–12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Conduct assessments, interpret results, and participate in eligibility determinations

Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs for students in accordance with Maryland state guidelines

Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to ensure students’ needs are met
-
Maintain accurate and timely service documentation, assessments, and compliance records
Requirements:

Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Audiology, or a related field

Active Maryland DHH Certification (or eligibility to obtain)

Previous school-based experience with DHH students preferred
-
Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check
