About the Role:
As a DHH teacher, you will work directly with students who are Deaf or hard of hearing, developing and delivering specialized instruction tailored to their individual needs. You’ll collaborate with school teams, audiologists, and families to ensure each student has the tools and support necessary for success.
Responsibilities Include:

Designing and implementing IEPs with communication and academic goals

Providing direct instruction and consultation services
-
Supporting students using ASL, spoken English, or total communication

Integrating assistive technology and accommodations into instruction

Working closely with interdisciplinary teams to support student progress

Maintaining accurate records and student documentation
Qualifications:
-
Degree in Deaf Education or related field
-
Valid Maryland teaching credential with DHH endorsement (or eligibility)

Familiarity with ASL and/or spoken language strategies
-
Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
-
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
