About the Position
A school district in Annapolis, MD is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) for the 2025–2026 school year. This role focuses on providing individualized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring they have equal access to the curriculum and opportunities for academic success.
Responsibilities

Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student progress

Adapt curriculum and learning materials to meet students’ needs

Support students in academic, social, and communication development

Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and district requirements
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field

Active Maryland teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing
-
Prior experience teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred

Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Compensation & Benefits

Local Candidates (Hourly Pay): $49 - $56 per hour

Travel Candidates (Weekly Take-Home Pay, if applicable): $1700 - $1978 weekly
