Compensation Packages
Local Candidates (Annapolis area):

Hourly pay range: $49–$56/hr

Weekly take-home pay: $1,700–$1,978 (based on 36–40 hour weeks)

Full-time schedule aligned with the academic calendar

Weekly pay via direct deposit
Travel Candidates (open to relocation for the assignment):

Equivalent take-home pay: $59–$69/hr after tax-free housing and meal stipends

Weekly take-home ranges: $1,700–$1,978

Pay structured with a low taxable hourly base + stipends

Job Responsibilities

Deliver direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs

Work closely with families, interpreters, and school staff to foster inclusion

Utilize assistive technology and communication supports effectively

Track and document student progress in compliance with state and district policies
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

Active Maryland teaching license with DHH endorsement (or eligibility before start date)

Experience developing and implementing IEPs

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to pass background checks and district onboarding
