Job Title: Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHHT) – High School
Location: Dallas/Fort Worth, TX Area Schools
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract, On-Site
Pay: Starting at $50/Hour (Based on Experience)
Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and academic support to high school students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet individual student needs.

Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and support staff to promote student success in inclusive classrooms.

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Support students in developing communication, self-advocacy, and life skills to prepare for post-secondary opportunities.

Communicate regularly with families and school teams to monitor student progress.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field.

Valid Texas state certification as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) strongly preferred.

Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
-
Previous experience working with high school students preferred.
