Provide specialized educational support as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for students from PreK to 6th grade in a vibrant school setting in Dallas, TX. This contract position offers an opportunity to work on-site within a dedicated campus, focusing on students with hearing impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students with hearing impairments.
  • Interpret audiograms to tailor educational approaches.
  • Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to ensure appropriate educational planning.
  • Manage and support a caseload of students from PreK through 6th grade.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to enhance student learning and communication.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Possession of an active Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) teaching license through the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
  • Previous experience in Texas school settings preferred, demonstrating familiarity with state standards and student needs.
  • Strong understanding of educational strategies and communication methods for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Location & Schedule:

  • On-site position based in Dallas, Texas.
  • Full-time or part-time options available, ranging from 21 to 35 hours per week.
  • Minimum commitment of 3 days per week with 7-hour workdays.
  • Contract duration from the start date until May 21, 2026.
