Blazer Jobs, in partnership with a local school district, is seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a part-time, onsite assignment in the Atlanta area (central Atlanta campus) for the current school year. This is a focused, high-impact role supporting one student at one school, ideal for educators who value targeted instruction and consistent scheduling.


Position Overview

  • Location: Atlanta Area (Central Atlanta)

  • Assignment Type: Part-Time, Onsite

  • Start Date: 3/17/26

  • End Date: 5/22/26

  • Hours Per Week: 7.5–10 hours

  • Schedule (Strict): Monday–Friday, 10:20 AM – 11:50 AM EST

  • Number of Schools: 1

  • Caseload: 1 student

  • Age Group: School-aged student (DHH services)

Renewals for the following school year are based on performance and district needs.


Daily Responsibilities

  • Provide direct DHH instructional support aligned with the student’s IEP

  • Support communication access using appropriate modalities (ASL, oral, total communication, or assistive technology as required)

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and the IEP team

  • Monitor progress and document service delivery accurately

  • Ensure compliance with state and district special education requirements

  • Maintain consistent attendance during the assigned, fixed schedule


State Requirements

  • Active Georgia Department of Education (GA DOE) Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing

  • Previous school-based experience preferred

Candidates who do not meet requirements will not be considered.


Compensation (Based on Experience)

Pay rates depend on verified school experience:

  • 0–2 years: $46–49/hr

  • 3–5 years: $49–52/hr

  • 6–9 years: $52–55/hr

  • 10+ years: $55–58/hr
