Renewals for the following school year are based on performance and district needs.
Daily Responsibilities
-
Provide direct DHH instructional support aligned with the student’s IEP
-
Support communication access using appropriate modalities (ASL, oral, total communication, or assistive technology as required)

Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and the IEP team
-
Monitor progress and document service delivery accurately
-
Ensure compliance with state and district special education requirements
-
Maintain consistent attendance during the assigned, fixed schedule
State Requirements

Active Georgia Department of Education (GA DOE) Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Previous school-based experience preferred
Candidates who do not meet requirements will not be considered.
Compensation (Based on Experience)
Pay rates depend on verified school experience:

0–2 years: $46–49/hr

3–5 years: $49–52/hr

6–9 years: $52–55/hr

10+ years: $55–58/hr
