Overview:
A supportive and student-focused educational community in Auburn, CA is seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to serve students in a K–12 setting. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is committed to creating inclusive learning environments and ensuring equitable access to education for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs

Deliver instruction using effective strategies and accessible materials

Utilize assistive technology and visual communication tools to enhance student engagement
-
Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
-
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
-
Provide ongoing support and resources to students and their families
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)

Valid California credential or authorization in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
-
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
-
Experience working with K–12 students with diverse needs

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
