Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate TDHH for this upcoming school year! Our positions are fully remote, meaning you can work in the comfort of your own home!
Instructional Planning and Delivery: Designing and implementing effective instructional strategies and materials tailored to the unique needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.
Language and Communication Development: Facilitating language acquisition and communication skills development using a variety of methods such as sign language, speech therapy, auditory training, and assistive technology.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Collaborating with IEP teams to develop and implement personalized education plans that address the specific learning goals and challenges of each student.
Collaboration and Support:Working closely with parents, caregivers, other educators, and related service providers to ensure a cohesive support system for students both in and out of the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Valid Texas certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or in Special Education.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities used by deaf and hard of hearing individuals.
- Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students in educational settings, with knowledge of best practices and instructional methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community stakeholders.
- Must be comfortable working as an independent contractor/ 1099 and obtain liability insurance prior to start date
