Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related discipline

South Carolina teaching certification with endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Knowledge of amplification systems, assistive technology, and specialized instructional approaches
Job Duties:

Provide individualized and group instruction to meet the educational goals of students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and related service staff to ensure accessibility

Adapt curriculum and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs
