Job Title: Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
Location: Bellwood, NE
Position Type: Contract (W2 with Benefits)

Grade Level: Varies on assigned caseload
Sunbelt is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to join our education team for the 2024–2025 school year.
Required skills and qualifications:
- NE TDHH License
- Knowledge of hearing assistive technology (e.g., FM systems, hearing aids, cochlear implants).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with sign language (ASL or other) is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with other educators, speech therapists, and families to support each child’s unique communication needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor progress on goals.
- Facilitate access to curriculum through use of assistive technology, auditory training, and/or visual strategies.
- Educate and support staff regarding best practices for working with students with hearing loss
