Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize assessment data to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Support communication access by employing appropriate technologies and accommodations
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing or equivalent credentials
- Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Knowledge of auditory and visual communication methodologies, including sign language proficiency preferred
- Ability to collaborate with educators, therapists, families, and administrators
- Strong organizational and communication skills
