Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team in Bluffton serving students who are deaf or hard of hearing. As the DHH Educator, you will create and deliver specialized instruction, collaborate with general education teachers and support staff, and ensure full access to curriculum and communication for your students. Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Provide direct instruction and/or consultative services across K-12 grade levels

Collaborate with classroom teachers, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and families to integrate assistive technology (e.g., FM/DM systems), sign language or other communication modalities

Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, adjust instruction accordingly

Advocate for access, inclusion, and communication rights within the school environment

Participate in professional development and stay current in best practices for DHH education
Requirements:

Valid South Carolina teaching certificate appropriate for the role (as required by the South Carolina Department of Education) South Carolina Department of Education+2Indeed+2
