Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Boston, Massachusetts
We are seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to work full-time in a school setting in Boston, MA. This contract position requires a dedicated professional to provide specialized instruction and support to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, addressing their individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive support.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state guidelines.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student development and support strategies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license.
- Professional experience working in a school environment with students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Strong knowledge of educational techniques and communication methods applicable to TDHH.
- Ability to manage a caseload covering grades K-12.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
