Caseload: K-12th Grade, Onsite Itinerant Role
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and qualified Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time onsite itinerant position. Teachers will be assigned to a specific regional radius to limit travel. You will join a supportive team of professionals working together to ensure student success across various educational settings.
Position Details:

Caseload: K-12th grade

Schedule: Full-time, school hours

Setting: Onsite, itinerant (travel within a designated radius)

Start Date: Fall 2025

Pay Range: $50-$60 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in accordance with IEP goals

Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student needs are met

Use American Sign Language (ASL) to facilitate communication and instruction

Travel between school sites as part of an itinerant team

Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development
Requirements:

Must hold a current New York State Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certification

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required

Previous experience with itinerant services is a plus

Ability to travel within assigned area

Strong communication and collaboration skills
