Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Gastonia, NC
This full-time, itinerant teaching opportunity supports Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across grades K-12 in Gastonia, NC. The position requires a valid North Carolina Teaching Certificate and offers a contract with a start date as soon as possible. Working five days per week, you will engage directly with students to provide specialized instruction and services tailored to their unique communication and learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support services for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students throughout various school settings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop accessible learning environments
- Attend meetings and complete required documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet diverse learner profiles in an itinerant capacity
Required Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Teaching Certification
