Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) – Chattanooga, TN
Blazer Jobs is seeking qualified Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a school-based role in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. Compensation Packages

Job Duties for DHH Teachers

Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with hearing impairments.

Adapt general education curriculum and integrate assistive technology to support learning.

Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and related service staff.

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and state regulations.

Foster communication strategies that include sign language, auditory/oral instruction, and other methods appropriate to each student.

Provide resources and training to families to support student success beyond the classroom.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related discipline.

Active Tennessee teaching certification with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (or ability to obtain).

Proficiency in communication modalities such as sign language or auditory/oral methods.

Experience in a school-based environment preferred.

Must successfully complete all state and federal background checks.
