Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher full time school-based contract
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT) for a full-time, onsite position with a school district in Chesapeake, VA, for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Job responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Use assistive technology and communication strategies effectively

Collaborate with families, teachers, and support staff

Maintain documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
Virginia state requirements:

Valid Virginia teaching license with Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement issued by the Virginia Department of Education

Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) preferred

Completion of criminal background check and fingerprinting as required by Virginia DOE

Drug screening clearance
