Your Impact as a TVI
In this position, you will provide individualized support to students with visual impairments—developing adaptive materials, teaching Braille, guiding the use of assistive technology, and helping students build functional skills for academic and daily success. You’ll collaborate with IEP teams, families, and staff to ensure each student can fully access their education. Whether working one-on-one or in a consultative role, your influence will help shape confident, independent learners.
Required Qualifications – Virginia
To qualify for this opportunity in Virginia, candidates must meet the following:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Visual Impairments or Special Education

Valid Virginia Teaching License with a Visually Impaired (PreK–12) endorsement

Proficiency in Braille and assistive technology

Experience developing and implementing IEPs
-
Must pass all required district and state background checks
