An opportunity is available for a full-time Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to support K-12 students in a contract position located in Sacramento, CA. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across K-12 grade levels
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with each student’s needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments
- Utilize and adapt teaching strategies and materials to promote language development and communication skills
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings
- Strong understanding of auditory and visual learning strategies for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively onsite with students and staff
