Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support students in Clarksville, TN for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a meaningful opportunity to help students with hearing impairments access their education and thrive academically and socially.
Position Overview:
As a DHH teacher, you will provide specialized instruction, develop communication strategies, and collaborate closely with families, interpreters, and school staff to create an inclusive educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with hearing impairments

Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and materials

Support the use of hearing assistive technology and visual learning aids

Conduct assessments and track student progress

Ensure compliance with Tennessee state educational standards
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

Valid Tennessee teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education (or eligibility)

Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and various communication modes preferred

Previous school-based experience highly valued

Strong collaboration and communication skills
