This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to helping students develop both academically and socially.

What You'll Do:
-
Deliver direct instruction to DHH students based on individualized education plans (IEPs).
-
Adapt lessons and classroom materials to support students’ access to the general education curriculum.
-
Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, audiologists, interpreters, and families.
-
Offer consultation services to staff regarding hearing loss, accessibility, and best practices.
-
Monitor student progress and maintain compliance with all documentation requirements.

Support students across multiple school sites (K–12), depending on caseload demands.
What You Bring:
-
Active Tennessee Department of Education (TN DOE) teaching license with a DHH endorsement.
-
Solid understanding of the educational needs of DHH students across grade levels.
-
Ability to work independently while managing a flexible and shifting caseload.
-
Comfort working with assistive technology and amplification systems (e.g., hearing aids, FM systems).
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
-
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other relevant communication methods.
-
Prior experience in a school setting or working across multiple grade levels.
-
Familiarity with language development and auditory training strategies.
Role Details:

Caseload: K–12 (based on current student needs)
-
Setting: On-site, with possible travel between schools
